Abstract: It is shown that the values of the ratios BðD0 → a0 ð980Þþπ−Þ=BðD0 → a0 ð980Þ−πþÞ and BðDþ → a0 ð980Þþπ0Þ=BðDþ → a0 ð980Þ0πþÞ, recently measured by the BESIII Collaboration, are naturally explained in the four-quark model of the a0 ð980Þ resonance.
