Abstract:
Spreadsheets are widely used as a means of presenting and analyzing data. This is due to the simplicity and functionality of this tool when processing data. Over the years the functionality of spreadsheets has been constantly expanded and improved. However, interaction with databases remains primitive: you can import data from relational tables or export to a database table. At the same time the data structure in spreadsheets must match the structure of a relational table. This is not a convenient and illustrative way of presenting data for most users who are not professional programmers. This paper proposes experimental software implemented in MS Office environment. Master-form and Template-form are realized through VBA language in Access. Master-form sets the parameters for the application summarizing the data view “Transformation”. The application itself is then automatically created from Template-form. The newly created application loads data into Excel spreadsheets from the database and returns new values to the database after editing. The correctness of the database transformation is ensured by realizing the commutation conditions.
