Abstract: The paper addresses the question of canard localization in systems with relaxation oscillations in the case when the small parameter does not approach zero. In particular, we propose a new approach of localization in phase space of the trajectory bundles of tunnel type in 2D dynamical systems with fast and slow variables. This method uses the envelope of straight lines passing through the points of contact isoclines with different slope and the vector field, i.e., it is based only on the solution of algebraic equations.
