Abstract: In the paper, I present a parallel algorithm for the numerical solution of the Cahn-Hilliard equation in a 3-D rectangular spatial domain with periodic boundary conditions. The algorithm uses an explicit finite difference scheme and domain decomposition method. One MPI process is assigned for each spatial subdomain, and the solution inside the subdomain is computed using the CUDA technology for GPU. The strong and weak scaling of the algorithm for the phase separation problem is examined for two kinds of VRAM-RAM data transfer.
