Abstract: It is shown that the Belle and LHCb data on the interference of the amplitudes of the S and D partial waves in the decays Ds1ð2536Þ þ → D þK0 S and Ds1ð2536Þ− → ¯D 0K− allow us to obtain an estimate of the S-wave D K scattering length in the channel with isospin I ¼ 0: jað0Þ D K j ¼ ð0.94 0.06Þ fm. The possibility of explaining the found value by the contribution of the Ds1ð2460Þ resonance is discussed. The decay of B s1ð5830Þ → B ¯K is also briefly discussed.
