Abstract: For compositions of continuously differentiable in the sub-Riemannian sense mappings of Carnot groups constructed by the graph-mapping principle, a new local approximation is introduced by an analog of a linear mapping with a minimal transformation of the basis in the image. The accuracy of the estimate for such an approximation is demonstrated, and a new method for computing the measure on the image is derived.
