In this work we investigate a class of strictlye pseudohyperbolic operators [1] of the sixth order with variable coefficients. This class includes, in particular, the generalized Boussinesq operator [2]. In work [3], energy estimates for fourth-order pseudohyperbolic operators with variable coefficients were obtained.
