Axial algebras, graphs and their automorphism groups abstract: This talk presents recent developments in the theory of axial algebras and their connections with group theory and graph theory. Axial algebras are commutative non-associative algebras generated by special idempotents called axes, whose adjoint action exhibits fusion rules similar to those in vertex operator algebras.
