Abstract:
The Defrise Universe with a negative cosmological constant is regarded as a four-dimensional Lie group with a left-invariant Lorentz metric and an orthonormal basis naturally associated with the coordinates. The coordinates of the geodesics for the sub-Riemannian metric induced on this Lie group by the rank-3 distribution generated by the spacelike vector fields of this basis are expressed in terms of elementary functions. All geodesics are complete. A strictly abnormal extremal is not a geodesic.
